July, 2006
This is something we ran into here recently. Up until last week we've been exporting our PNGs from Photoshop through the Export for Web dialogue box. Our Summer intern Cris noticed that one version of his files looked a lot different than another. The first set of files were made by using the Save as… dialogue box. Not sure if anyone else out there has seen this — but there is pretty significant difference in the richness and saturation of the two export methods when rendered in Flash. There is however not any significant difference in the file size. Go figure. Thanks Cris.
I still thing there's something screwy going on… and we'll do some more tests when we get a break over here… but… Here's an image showing the test we ran to make sure we weren't just suffering from the old black-pixel disease.

Drove down to NYC with Julian last Friday and caught game 2 of the recent Subway Series. Yankees lost bad… but as Julian is fond of saying, "Both teams are from New York, so I don't care who wins." I guess he didn't spend enough time in the Bronx as a baby.
